Tissue regeneration debate continues to grow

CDC: Milk from mom gave baby West Nile
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- A Michigan infant with the West Nile virus probably got it from the breast milk of his infected mother, federal health officials said Thursday.

The child is healthy and his mother is recovering, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The CDC said it was virtually certain the virus came from breast milk, though there is no way to be 100 percent positive.

Kidney recipient dies after positive West Nile test
BALTIMORE, Maryland (AP) -- A Maryland woman who received a kidney transplant last month died after testing positive for the West Nile virus, state health officials said.

The source of the infection is unclear, however, because initial tests for the virus on the organ donor were negative, the state Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said Wednesday.
