Keting Chu, MD., Ph.D.
Dr. Chu is the Co-Founder, President and CEO of DigitAB, Inc. DigitAB, Inc. is a startup biotechnology company with a proprietary technology, digital antibody technology, to revolutionize the proteomic research and medical diagnostics fields. Before DigitAB, Dr. Chu was the co-founder and CEO of BioCubed Corporation, which was a preclinical CRO headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with testing laboratory and animal facility in Shanghai China. Prior to founding BioCubed, Dr. Chu was Vice President of Biology and head of R&D at FivePrime Therapeutics for more than two years since the funding of FivePrime in June 2002. FivePrime Therapeutics is a VC funded emerging biotechnology company, engaged in discovering and developing novel therapeutic proteins and antibodies by systematically screening all relevant proteins in the human body to find the best protein for treatment of a given clinical indication. The lead VC investors of Five Prime included the top tiered VC firms such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Versant Ventures, Domain Associates LLC, and Advanced Technology Ventures, etc. Prior to joining FivePrime, she spent eight years at Chiron Corporation, where she was engaged in the research and preclinical development of protein, DNA-based and small molecule therapeutics in the areas of cancer and inflammation. Dr. Chu ultimately headed up Chiron’s cancer antibody therapeutics and immunotherapy program. Prior to joining Chiron, Dr. Chu was a post-doctoral fellow in the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her M.D. from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences in China, and her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Francisco.

Charlene Liao, Ph.D.
Dr. Liao is the Senior Project Manager of Product Portfolio Management at Genentech, Inc. Dr. Liao started in the industry as a scientist for drug discovery at Tularik, Inc. (now AMGEN). She then moved to Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Project Team Leader and Senior Scientist, and within three years became Director of Business Development. Dr. Liao holds B.S., in Biochemistry from Peking University and Ph.D. in Biology from Brandeis University. She was also a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF and HHMI. Dr. Liao is also a winner of the prestigious CUSBEA Fellowship in 1986.

Shengjiang Shawn Liu, PhD,
Dr. Liu is the Head and Sr. Principle Scientist, Pathogen Safety Department, Bayer Healthcare Corporation. He joined Bayer in 2005 to setup a competent team in developing bioprocess technologies to ensure Bayer biotherapeutics meeting the global standards of regulatory requirements. He also plays a key role in global drug application submission, marketing and manufacturing support. Dr. Liu was employed in Abmaxis Inc.(2000-2005). After many years of incepting and planning, he founded Abmaxis Inc. with his partners and served as the President and Acting CEO, the board director of the company. Dr. Liu was a scientist and the group leader in the Department of Cell Culture and Fermentation, Genentech Inc. (1996-2000). Dr. Liu received his Ph.D in Biochemistry, Kansas State University in 1993 and MS. Degree in Virology and Immunology from School of Vet. Med., Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing, China, 1985, and he got his D.V.M: School of Veterinary Medicine, Hunan Agricultural University, Changsha, China, 1982. Dr. Liu received his post-doctor training in Arthur Kornberg's laboraotory, Stanford University (1993-1996).

Yingfei Wei, Ph.D.
Dr. Wei is Chief Scientific Officer and vice president for Business Development of 3SBio (Shenyang Sunshine Pharmaceutical Company Limited). She has over 15 years of research and development experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Before joining 3SBio, she was the co-founder, president, and chief executive officer of Elixirin from 2004 to 2005, responsible for overseeing contract research, manufacture, regulatory approval process, and marketing of an anti-ageing product in the U.S. and China. Before that, she was director of Biotechnology Research Division of Bayer HealthCare from 1998 to 2004 and group leader at the discovery research department of Human Genome Sciences Inc. from 1993 to 1998. Dr. Wei is named inventor for 37 patents and has authored several publications, primarily in the areas of protein and antibody drug discovery and genomics. Dr. Wei was a postdoctoral fellow from Harvard School of Public Health in 1993. She received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from University of California in 1990 and a bachelor in biochemistry from Peking University in 1983.

Janet Yang, M.S.
Janet is the director of business development at Enzymatics responsible for the company's business at west coast and Asia. Janet also run a consulting firm focusing on helping start-up biotech companies at early phase in strategic business planning and funding. Janet was VP of Sales & Marketing and successfully developed sales and marketing strategies for Multispan, a start-up biotech company with US and international market which lead to 2nd round of funding for the company. Janet has extensive experience in Business Development, Sales and Marketing Strategy gained through working for major Life Science companies as Upstate, Lion Bioscience and Pharmacia (now GE Healthcare). Janet has built a wide expertise and an extensive network. Janet obtained both of her B.S. and M.Sci. in Cell & Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University.
